Student Occupational Competency Testing

Student Occupational Competency Testing is required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE) for all secondary concentrators in approved career and technical education programs in the Commonwealth who are anticipated to leave school at the end of the current school year. For additional information on testing and Pennsylvania requirements, download a copy of A Guide to Student Occupational Competency Testing in Pennsylvania.  This guide is provided to assist school administrators in preparing for the required testing.  It is developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to be used as an informational resource that addresses procedures for participating in Federal and state mandated occupational competency testing.
