
The ILC: Innovation, Learning, and Career Education Conference will be held November 5-7, 2025, at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, Pennsylvania. The goal of the conference is to highlight the integration of career-related and academic content and the varied and unique partnerships between CTCs, K12 schools, higher education institutions, employers, and other organizations that help make the CTE ecosystem thrive. This conference is planned and conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), Bureau of Career and Technical Education. More than 400 conferees are expected to attend. PDE invites you to submit a proposal for the conference and take this opportunity to share your knowledge and experience.
Purpose of Conference
The objectives of the ILC are as follows:
- Raise awareness and eliminate barriers to encourage interdisciplinary approaches that enhance learning opportunities.
- Feature successful practices that have the potential for scalability or replication.
- Facilitate the integration of academic and career and technical education K-16.
- Provide opportunities for networking and for building partnerships.
- Encourage cross-sector and cross-department connections to foster collaboration between education and workforce development.
- Share instructional strategies and opportunities for lifelong learning.
