TAP OVERVIEW
The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, commonly referred to as “Perkins V”, reauthorized Congress to provide funding for career and technical education (CTE) programs across the nation. The funding is provided to states “to develop more fully the academic and career and technical skills of secondary education students and postsecondary education students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs.” Perkins | Department of Education | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
In collaboration with local stakeholders in Pennsylvania’s career and technical education (CTE) community, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) developed the Commonwealth’s Perkins V plan. This plan continues the Technical Assistance Program (TAP) to assist CTE programs that receive Perkins funds in achieving their goals. Perkins V Plan 4-Year.
